SeraCase Trust Center
AI Transparency
How Sera helps organize and prepare — with clear limits.
How Sera uses AI
Our AI assists with organization, document review, and case preparation: extracting text, summarizing documents, proposing timeline organization, drafting working notes, and answering questions about materials you already uploaded — within your signed-in account.
What AI analyzes
- Document text (OCR or native PDF text)
- Case context you provide (intake notes, selected case data)
- Chat questions you ask about your case
What AI does NOT do
- Provide legal advice or replace lawyers
- File documents with a court
- Guarantee completeness or accuracy of extractions
- Browse other users’ cases
- Publish your documents publicly
Human verification recommended
Always review AI-proposed timeline events, labels, summaries, and exports before relying on them in negotiations or hearings.
No cross-user learning
Chat and document context are scoped to your account (and, for chat context, to the active case). Another customer cannot see your materials through the product.
Model training on user documents
SeraCase does not use your uploaded documents to train a SeraCase-owned public model. Document text may be sent to the configured AI provider (for example OpenAI) solely to perform the feature you requested, subject to that provider’s terms and our Privacy Policy. We do not offer your case files for advertising datasets.
Data isolation
Authentication, Row-Level Security, and case ownership checks are the primary isolation boundaries. AI prompts include untrusted-document delimiters so model instructions cannot easily override system rules.
