Account settings

Find and update the account controls that keep your SeraCase workspace personal and secure.

Overview

Settings is where you manage account preferences, security entry points, and data tools like My Data. It’s also where you orient when something about sign-in, notifications, or retention needs attention.

Why this feature exists

A calm settings area keeps important controls findable — so you don’t hunt through the product when you simply need to update how your account works.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open Settings

From account navigation, open Settings while signed in.

  2. 2

    Review profile and preferences

Update details that help SeraCase address you correctly and behave the way you expect.

  3. 3

    Open Security when needed

Jump to Security settings for MFA, password-related controls, and related protection.

  4. 4

Open My Data for lifecycle tools

Use My Data for retention, trash/restore entry points, and data-oriented actions.

Best practices

  • Keep your email address current — it’s used for reset and important notices.
  • After changing security settings, perform one fresh sign-in to confirm everything works.

Productivity tips

  • Visit Settings once after onboarding to enable MFA and confirm notification preferences.

Common mistakes

  • Ignoring My Data until you urgently need a restore.
  • Changing email without updating recovery access elsewhere.
